DEUNA can normalize the billing and shipping addresses in a payment request before forwarding them to the payment processor. Address normalization is an optional merchant capability; when it is not enabled, DEUNA preserves the address values supplied by the integration.

How it works

  • You send billing_address / shipping_address (and the address associated with the credit card) as usual in the payment payload.
  • When normalization is enabled for the merchant, DEUNA runs the supplied billing and shipping addresses through its normalization service.
  • The service may standardize values such as country or region representations before the processor request is built.
  • When normalization is disabled, DEUNA does not invoke that normalization step and keeps the supplied values for downstream processing.
